SBTV have joined the likes of Burberry, Shazam and Rolling Stone as Apple Music curators. The company was founded in 2006 and is now one of the leading online broadcasters in the music scene with close to 300 million views for it’s video content. SBTV have celebrated by unveiling their first official playlist on the platform, titled ‘Ready To Pair: Bluetooth Classics’.

Jamal Edwards MBE, founder and CEO of SBTV stated, “We are all about supporting talent regardless of an act’s current popularity or hype, and we are seeing this with Apple Music’s curator playlists, which are doing great work spotlighting new and untapped music talent“. He goes on to say, “We wanted to kick things off with a playlist, which paid homage to the pioneers. Dizzee, Bruza and Choong Family were all influential in the early 2000’s and it’s great to be able to include them in our first Apple Music Playlist”. As Edwards alludes to, Dizzee Rascal is an artist who features on this SBTV debut playlist, and he states, “it’s important to look back and celebrate the people that laid the foundations, as well as embracing the future”.
