Scarlett Johansson Confirmed To Return As Black Widow In ‘Captain America: Civil War’ | Film News
Brilliant news for Avengers fans as it’s been confirmed the amazing Scarlett Johansson will reprise her role as Black Widow in the up and coming Captain America: Civil War movie. This comes as brilliant news after fellow Avengers star Robert Downey Jr has been recently talking about the development of his character, Tony Stark, for the third flick in the Steve Rogers franchise.
SlashFilm recently conducted an interview with directors Joe and Anthony Russo who confirmed that Johansson will return. It always seemed pretty likely that Black Widow would make an appearance, considering her importance in Captain America: Winter Solider but with the introduction of other characters like Black Panther set for Civil War, it was beginning to look like there might be little screen time for Johansson.
There’s yet any confirmation as to just how much screen time Black Widow will get within Civil War but with the need to solidify the Chris Evans series as seperate from the Avengers in general, I can’t imagine it’s going to be that much. Here’s hoping she’ll get some great action, something Johansson is best at!
