FX’s American Horror Story: Hotel has wrapped up its final episode, ending in a Golden Globe for Lady Gaga for her portrayal of The Countess; the fashionable and deadly vampire owner of the Hotel Cortez. The renewal of the series for a sixth season was announced last November and this time it will apparently be “set in two time periods, but principally in the present” said FX boss John Landgraf.

The show is already known for being set in alternating time periods, with various seasons taking place in the 50’s (Freak-show), 60’s (Asylum) and the present (Murder House, Hotel, Coven), and has even started to link the overall story-line but how will the show deal with two time lines at once? And what horrifying events does creator Ryan Murphy have in store for us in the coming season?

It’s also not certain yet if Gaga will be returning next season along with show veterans Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Dennis O’Hare, Kathy Bates and Lily Rabe as per Murphy’s habit of using the same actors across seasons.
