South East London’s Guy Baron, aka Semi Precious, is back with “Purple Room”. This will be the first single from his forthcoming debut album, Ultimate Lounge, due out Friday, July 22.
“Purple Room” definitely washes over the listener with a soothing backdrop, accompanied with some tasteful, laidback yet passionate guitar licks. The vocals themselves very much suit the instrumentation, and occasionally echo out for a spaced out vibe, which in turn is aided with a light touch of some tad industrial sound effects.
A middle section of sorts pretty much refrains from the instrumentation, putting it very much in the background as the vocals take centre stage. A crescendo, particularly of guitar, gets louder before the song’s abrupt end.
