Sequel For ‘Annabelle’ In The Works | Film News
Isn’t The Conjuring the sequel to Annabelle? you may ask. Although Annabelle was created as a prequel to James Wan‘s hit 2013 horror The Conjuring, the team at New Line have factored in enough time between the films to allow more films featuring the iconic demonic doll.
The sequel will be penned by Gary Dauberman, who also provided the script for Annabelle. No further information has been released regarding plot other than the involvement of the doll, and no word yet of other people on board, or whether Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are set to return as Ed and Lorraine Warren.
Until more is revealed, The Conjuring sequel The Enfield Poltergeist is currently in production and is set for a 17 June 2016 release.
