Seth Rogen And Zac Efron Reunite For ‘Bad Neighbours 2’ In 2016 | Film News

On a budget of $18 million, knock-out comedy Bad Neighbours (just called Neighbors in the US) raked in a whopping $250 million worldwide and wowed audience with the casting of funny men Zac Efron and Seth Rogen. It’s been known that Universal had slotted in an R-rated comedy for May 2016 and now it’s clear it will be for a Bad Neighbours sequel to this 2014 comedy.

According to Deadline, Rogen, Efron and Evan Goldberg will return to write and produce alongside director Nicholas Stoller. With Rose Byrne set to return also, we’ll see Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O’Brien, who wrote the first film, act as executive producers of the film. Here’s a quick plot synopsis; “This time a sorority moves in next door to the couple, who enlist their former nemesis from the fraternity to help battle the raucous sisters“.

The plot isn’t anything to get overly excited about and is just about what you’d expect from an unnecessary sequel to this popular comedy. Still, there’s no doubt that this will be a fun movie. The pairing of Rogen with Efron is always a crowd pleaser, with Efron’s mega-abs working so well with the pale white belly of a shirtless Rogen. Match made in heaven? I think so. Neighbours 2 will hit theatres on May 13, 2016. Didn’t catch the first film? Check out the trailer below.
