Slick Don wrote “Feds” based on what are likely common experiences of being stopped by the police due to racial profiling. He cites in his lyrics that he’s not looking to get arrested, he’s just trying to get on with his day. Slick Don has crafted some truth bombs here and isn’t afraid to say what he thinks. The song remains fairly light-hearted despite the topic.
