Videos have recently surfaced online of Slipknot’s Corey Taylor performing acoustic covers of Green Day classics. Corey treated fans at Irving Plaza to a cover of “She” during soundcheck and “Pulling Teeth” within the show’s setlist. Before delving into the latter track, Taylor asked fans if there was any Green Day fans in the room and went on to say “if you can’t get down with that then sorry we can’t be fucking friends“. Both songs are taken from Green Day’s 1994 release Dookie which is the band’s best selling record to date with a whopping 20 million worldwide sales. You can check out the covers below.
