The new film, which has a working title of Red Cup, stars Alden Ehrenreich as the young Solo before he met Luke Skywalker and Obi Wan in the later films. It tells the story of how the young scoundrel became even more so, aswell as a thief and smuggler.
The film also stars Woody Harrelson, Donald Glover and Emilia Clarke. Father-son team, Lawrence and Jon Kasdan, have written the screenplay while Phil Lord and Chris Miller are set to co-direct.
Miller released this photograph on Twitter earlier, confirming the official production while also treating us to the working title.
