Sophie Ellis-Bextor has announced the title of her sixth studio album Familia with a behind-the-scenes look at the recording and writing process in a new YouTube video. Various new tracks from the upcoming album are previewed in the clip, as well as new song titles also being seen for the first time. These include “Death of Love”, “Don’t Shy Away”, “Wild Forever”, “Hush Little Voices”, “Come With Us”, and “Cassandra”.

The new album will see Ellis-Bextor being reunited with Ed Harcourt, the producer behind her 2014 critically-acclaimed album Wanderlust, her last official release. Familia appears to have a Latin inspired sound, as well as elements of disco while still staying rooted in her signature pop background.

The star and mother of four got her break in the industry in the 90’s as the lead singer of the Britpop band Theaudience, before becoming best-known for her solo pop hits including “Murder on the Dancefloor”, “Catch You”, and the Spiller collaboration “Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love)”. Familia is due for release later this year.
