Spotify CEO Apologizes For New Privacy Policy ‘Confusion’ | Music News

 

Spotify’s newly hired CEO has issued an apology to users after their new privacy policy caused anger. The company were forced to post a statement online after users criticized the new privacy policy that would reveal birthdays, email addresses, contacts, photos and location as a part of a new service they will provide.

 

Spotify have said that there are some major confusions with the terms and conditions of this new privacy policy – “We are in the middle of rolling out new terms and conditions and privacy policy and they’ve caused a lot of confusion about what kind of information we access and what we do with it. We apologise for that. We should have done a better job in communicating what these policies mean and how any information you choose to share will – and will not – be used“.
