Amsterdam four piece St. Tropez have just released their explosive debut EP. The record pounds fifteen minutes of the finest Dutch Punk/Rock, straight through your ear canal without hesitance. They claim to have recorded the EP in a sauna converted into a studio, with help from Spring King’s Tarek Musa as a producer. It’s a chaotic rage of frustration and smashing instruments neatly intertwined.
The EP opens with the optimistically titled “I Don’t Wanna Fall In Love”. A catchy high tempo track topped off with a fuzz fuelled solo. The highlight of the record is the ferocious “Por Que Why”. A power chord soaked track with attitude and lyrics like, “everyone looks the same, do I look the same”. St. Tropez are playing their first UK shows in early February.
