It’s less than 100 days until the Olympics and countries are unveiling their uniform designed by well known fashion names around the world. This week, Stella McCartney, a very British designer, revealed what the 2016 GB team would be sporting in Rio de Janeiro.

McCartney mixed a traditional English and contemporary style together to create a diverse representation of Britain today and of course red, white and blue were at the heart of the colour scheme. The collection is in collaboration with Adidas who are manufacturing the kit. The designs were modelled this week by a variety of Olympians including Tom Daley and Jessica Ennis-Hill.

McCartney said: “The inspiration behind the design was this idea of contrasting British tradition with a modern attitude… The new Coat Of Arms, specially commissioned for this project, and traditional Union Flag hues sit alongside bold textures and modern silhouettes to create a strong identity and make the athletes feel like a team”.
