Steven Spielberg Reveals ‘Great Ambition To Make A Musical’ | Film News
One of the greatest living directors, Steven Spielberg, is out promoting his new film starring Tom Hanks, Cold War thriller Bridge of Spies. Spielberg’s CV is overflowing with critical and commercial hits, that span a number of genres, including Saving Private Ryan, Schindler’s List, Jurassic Park and the Indiana Jones Series. He is probably Hollywood’s best known director, but there is one genre he hasn’t conquered yet… the musical.
During an interview on BBC Radio 4, Spielberg revealed “a great ambition to make a musical” and has previously tried to develop at least four, but they never made it into production. Spielberg also claimed he finds it increasingly difficult to create films; well you can judge his latest offering Bridge of Spies very soon as it is released on the 26th of November in the UK.
