Stevie Wonder is regarded as a phenomenal musician and is a great influence to many stars. He was also a role model and inspiration for the late Prince, which makes it all the more surreal that Wonder is now paying tribute to the star.

Wonder has written a lengthy letter in Rolling Stone calling Prince “so picturesque” and claiming “Prince’s songs to be that vivid, the images that strong” that you could feel “Purple Rain”. Wonder also drew comparisons between his and Prince’s upbringings in the Midwest; both stars grew up with an array of musical influences and genres including Blues, Jazz, Gospel, and Rock ‘n’ Roll.

Stevie Wonder is just one of many that have paid tribute to Prince since he died. His unexpected demise is still under investigation and the results from the police investigation could take months yet. For now, at least we can enjoy his music and hope the star gets a Stevie Wonder-like tribute concert in the near future.
