With the critical panning of Zach Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the start of the DC Extended universe is not off to the good start, but fans disappointed by the joyless and dreary affair can now look ahead to David Ayer’s Suicide Squad.

Rumours circulating claim that Warner Bros. was dropping millions of dollars in reshoots for the film, with the studio wanting to lighten up the tone of the feature, something that Jai Courtney denies. In an interview with ET, he commented: “I think there’s plenty of [humor] in it. I wouldn’t say we’re going back to make it funnier, there’s some additional action stuff that we’ve been doing, which is pretty dope. Really we’re just kind of adding in that sense”.
