Supreme Launches New Collection With Controversial Artist Andres Serrano | Fashion News
This Thursday, the famous brand Supreme will launch a new collection with the collaboration of Andres Serrano.
Andres Serrano is an American photographer born in New York and very famous for his controversial art. Because he was raised as strict Roman Catholic, we can see how he uses his works to challenge and show his interpretation of religion. Indeed his creations are characterized by traditional religious iconography with the incorporation of human bodily fluids such as blood, urine, semen and breast milk.
One of his best known work is the ‘Piss Christ‘ which is a red-tinged photograph of a crucifix submerged in a glass container with urine.
The collection that Supreme proposes to unveil with Serrano is composed by sweatpants, two graphic t-shirts, two hoodies and also includes Vans Old Skool, Sk8-Hi and Chukka models as part of the collaboration. On these items are printed, some of Serrano’s work: Piss Christ, Madonna & Child II and Blood and Semen II.
The collection will be available to customers from September 21 at Supreme’s NY, LA, London and Paris stores.
