Syfy Added Three Members To ‘The Purge’ Series Cast | TV News

The cast of the TV adaption of the horror franchise The Purge grows. Three new members were announced for the show that will come out under the umbrella of Syfy and USA Network. Lili Simmons, Hannah Anderson, and Lee Tergesen join the already booked cast consisting of Amanda Warren, Colin Woodell, Gabriel Chavarria, and Jessica Garza.

Film creator James DeMonaco is overseeing the series and functions as an executive producer. In that role is accompanied by Sebastien K. Lemercier. Anthony Hemingway directs and Thomas Kelly serves as executive producer/showrunner.

At the moment there isn’t too much known about the storyline. What we know is that it won’t be focusing on ‘The Purge’ as the films do it. The series will be more about the consequences and everything around that law. Especially what it means for the people in America.

There hasn’t been a release date announced yet but rumor has it that it will premiere around the next film of the franchise. This Summer, The First Purge will hit the theaters. Probably a little bit later the TV series will air on the small screen.
