Taylor Swift And Lisa Kudrow Perform ‘Smelly Cat’ | Music News

Taylor Swift and Lisa Kudrow

When the Friends cast said their final goodbyes in 2004, it felt like the end of an era for many people. Some hadn’t even experienced life without new Friends episodes on TV! Luckily, the opportunity to revisit the show still exists. On August 26, Taylor Swift invited Lisa Kudrow onstage to sing what has to be Phoebe Buffay’s (Kudrow’s character) most notorious song: “Smelly Cat”.

From Central Perk to the Staples Centre, the song still maintains its humour, even if some of the intimacy is compromised. Kudrow takes on Buffay’s character partway through and instructs Swift to “really feel the lyrics”, which is met with laughter and applause. Swift also performed with Justin Timberlake and Selena Gomez on Wednesday night. Watch the “Smelly Cat” duet below. and relive the original here.
