Taylor Swift Confirms Documented Pop Direction On New Album ‘1989’ | Music News
Last night, Taylor Swift released the brand new music video for her song “Shake it Off”, which has already grossed over four million views. Having been defined for a long time as a country artist, Swift is pleased to announce her “very first, documented, official pop album”, which is set for release on October 27th. Entitled 1989, the album is named after both Swift’s birth year and the late 80’s music which inspired the new tracks.
Swift describes the album as “a bit of a rebirth for me”, as it has taken her two years to complete it. “I like to work on albums for two years”, says Swift, “two years gives you enough time to grow and change”. 1989 is now available to pre-order from Swift’s official website here.
