The marriage of our Queen and Prince Philip has become an institution in of itself, the couples decades long marriage a subject of hot interest, and the source of Netflix’s latest drama The Crown.
One of the stars of the drama, Matt Smith allieviated concerns that the show will take the mickey out of the leading couple of this country – depending on your opinion – promising the show will not show a “toadyish” picture of the British royal family.
Netflix has announced the series, also starring Claire Foy as the Queen herself, will air in the UK from the 4th of November, Smith commenting:
“What’s brilliant is …. you get to glimpse them as real human beings – getting ready for bed.”
