‘The Force Awakens’ Trailer And Poster Hits International Audiences | Film Trailers

Bet you thought there was nothing more to hear about Star Wars: The Force Awakens at least until the film premieres this December. But this is the internet, where all things Star Wars matters, including when the international trailer is released to Japanese audiences with additional footage not seen in the official trailer released a few days ago. See if you can spot the extra shots:

As with all things J.J. Abrams (Star Trek, Super 8) the little plot details are obscured if not completely hidden from sight by the Star Wars director. However I think this trailer strongly indicates that the young scavenger Rey (Daisy Ridley) is more likely to be the protagonist of the film as opposed to John Boyega‘s character as some people have suspected. Packed with nostalgia, with the Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Leia) cameos and/or key characters returning.

Really none the specifics matter, we all know you are going to see it along with your grandmother and her dog whether at the cinema or at home. The film has already made its money in advance ticket and toy sales, it’s probably going to be a point by point structural remake of Episode IV: A New Hope, with characters being shifted around, hidden Luke Skywalker = Obi Wan mentor character. I’m not one to really dig into the fine specks of plot laid down, I would much rather just go see the movie and enjoy it.

Oh yeah, here’s the international poster:
