‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay’ Smashes Box Office Records Despite Franchise Dip | Film News
The latest in The Hunger Games movies: Mockingjay is said to have brought in a mind blowing $55 million, this past Friday as it literally hit the US Box Office. It’s predicted that the movie could meet a figure worth $130 million over this weekend that would then make this movie the most financially successful picture to be put onto cinema screens this year. Some critiques say it doesn’t meet the standards of its earlier movies in the franchise, but with it still having such fantastic success, it’s hardly toeing the line of a let-down. Clearly more joy for the fans and more joy for the actors and the film makers to embrace.
