The National, The War On Drugs And More Team Up For Grateful Dead Tribute Album | Music News

Members of The National are set to release a charity tribute album to the iconic California band Grateful Dead on May 20. The album, featuring contributions from many artists including The War On Drugs, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, and Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, is entitled Day Of The Dead and will benefit the HIV charity Red Hot.

 

The Eaux Claires festival, taking place on August 12 and 13, will host the only “scheduled performance” of the Day Of The Dead project.

 

A number of tracks from Day Of The Dead have been previewed on 4AD’s YouTube channel, and you can listen to The National’s cover of “Morning Dew” below:
