‘The Sinner’ Gets A Second Season But Without Jessica Biel | TV News

The Sinner was a surprise success last year. Originally it was a mini-series with eight episodes. Now USA Network has announced that a second season will hit the screens. To be honest, this isn’t so surprising since it was a total hit for USA Network. It even was nominated for the Golden Globes. Unfortunately, the cast made a huge change. Jessica Biel won’t come back as the main character.

After the first season followed Biel’s character Cora committing a murder and everything that led to this crime, this season will focus on police officer Harry Ambrose that was convinced by her, so to say, innocence. He is played by Bill Pullman.

Harry Ambrose will get to the bottom of a new mystery in his hometown. An 11-year-old son murdered his parents – seemingly without any motive. As Ambrose realizes there’s nothing ordinary about the boy or where he came from, the investigation pulls him into the hidden darkness of his hometown. With that being said, fans of the series can just wait and see for what the team behind it (including Jessica Biel) will make out of it.
