The xx To Release New Music In 2016 | Music News

The xx have announced that they are doing further recording on the long-awaited follow-up to second album Coexist, as well as promising new music in 2016.

 

On November 18,The band played on Annie Mac’s BBC one radio show where they also revealed the news. The band performed with Fout Tet and Warpaint drummer Stella Mozgawa

 

Between performing tracks from his solo album In Colour, Jamie xx talked briefly of the band’s plans, saying:

 

“We start again in the studio tomorrow up until Christmas. It’s going well and we’re just enjoying it. We’ve been doing it for so long now. I’m really looking forward to wrapping that up as well.”

 

Annie Mac asked if new music could be expected during 2016, to which she reported guitarist and vocalist Romy Madley Croft nodding.
