The BBC have confirmed that Top Gear has employed Clare Pizley as new boss following the disturbance caused last week when filming took place around the Cenotaph war memorial. A spokesperson for the BBC said: “Clare is an experienced head of department whose credits include big must-see events such as Children in Need and Sport Relief”.

He continued, revealing how Pizley will be the leader in editorial content for the show, but she will remain committed to this years’ Children in Need: “Clare will be responsible for the editorial content of Top Gear. She will continue to lead the factual entertainment department including overseeing Children in Need 2016”. See Top Gear return this May.
