Tove Lo Announces New Album ‘Lady Wood’ | Music News

Exactly two years after her excellent debut Queen of the Clouds, which spawned the two smash hit singles “Talking Body” and “Habits (Stay High)”, Swedish electropop diva, Tove Lo, is ready for a glorious comeback.

Teased by the excellent “Cool Girl”, which is already having a good impact on international charts, Lady Wood will be released on October 28 via Island.  Not many details have been shared along with the announcement, but it seems like Tove’s buzz single “Influence” – released on Soundcloud in its demo form back in December – will be part of the sophomore.

Some promotional pictures have been released, which recall the first single’s art direction, as well as visually suggesting the over-sexualised album title.

Stay tuned for more information about Lady Wood and listen to the gorgeous “Cool Girl” below.

I speak as loud as the volume I listen to music, and this is probably symptomatic of my love for pop music: I love pop music because it is often unapologetically in-your-face, it shouts rather than tell, it drives you crazy. And after 21 years loving pop music, I think I’ve completely gone mad. It all started in 1997, when my mum bought me my first cassette: needless to say, it was ‘Barbie Girl’ by Aqua, and from that point on, it’s been a never-ending loving relationship between me and music. I study, work and live life part-time, and listen to music full-time.
