Trailer Released For Robin Cavendish Inspired Film ‘Breathe’ | Film Trailer

Academy Award nominee Andrew Garfield and Golden Globe winner Claire Foy star in romantic biopic Breathe. Breathe dramatises the life of Robin Cavendish, a former Captain who contracted polio in Kenya and was given months to live, only to overcome this and become a tireless advocate for those with disabilities.

The romantic storyline and discovery of the meaning of life make for a cheesy plot line, but does not subtract from how visually stunning the film is; the film very much echoes The Theory of Everything (2014), the Stephen Hawking biopic which starred Eddie Redmayne in the lead. In similar vain, Breathe will likely have a lot of buzz around Awards season.

The film comes off the back of Andrew Garfield’s success in another biopic, Hacksaw Ridge, as well as Claire Foy’s critical acclaim for The Crown.

Andy Serkis makes his directing debut, proving his creative talents are endless. Andy Serkis’ Jungle Book adaptation is also in post-production under his performance capture studio The Imaginarium Studios, for which Robin Cavendish’s son, John Cavendish, is co-founder. John Cavendish is a producer for Breathe.

Breathe will be released this autumn, October 13. Watch the trailer below:
