Valentino’s Best Looks From Its Autumn/Winter Collection At Paris Fashion Week | Fashion News

On Sunday, Pierpaolo Piccioli Valentino’s fashion designer – presented his second solo-collection at Paris Fashion Week, in a very romantic frame.

At the Grand Hotel Salomon de Rothschild, models walked down the runway accompanied by a classical soundtrack, which included part of the Oscar-winning movie Moonlight music.

Ankle-length billowing dresses, long sleeves and high necklines were the main features of the collection, as to confirm the Roman fashion house’s traditional signature. This year, however, graphics are more prominent than in previous collections.

Large dresses show simple math problems in different fonts and colours displaying hands with multiple fingers as the solution. Hands, poppy flowers, tribal-like symbols and abstract figures are the other current motifs for this collection.

Valentino’s shoe trend are combat or hiker boots to show during cocktail hours, presented in flat or heeled version laced up to the knee with studded soles. This give a strong image and contrast with the fluid, romantic and soft eveningwear. The show displayed several ethereal plisse dresses in mint, tangerine or violet to give shine and brightness to the evening outfits.
