Vans Teams Up With Nintendo For Video Game Inspired Collection | Fashion News
Imagine your favourite vintage video game characters embroidered on your trainers. Well, gamers around the world rejoice, because the fantasy has now been turned into a real thing! Vans has teamed up with Nintendo to release a one-of-a-kind shoe and clothing collection, inspired by the early Nintendo days.
Classic Vans models like the Authentic, the Slip-On, the Sk8-Hi and the Old Skool are now being transformed into a… crazy console, featuring designs based on the artwork and characters of classic video games. Super Mario Bros., Duck Hunt, Donkey Kong and Legend of Zelda prevail, while some of the graphics are inspired by Nintendo’s first console, the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).
Beginning this Friday (June 3), the 8-bit themed line will be available to game aficionados worldwide. Vans is constantly reinventing the world of skate and pop-punk fashion through its shoes’ playful patterns and getting the gamers on board sounds like one more of its ingenious ideas.
