Vernon Kay’s ‘Drive’ Stalls At 1.6 Million Viewers | TV News
There are some things doomed to fail or at least stall, ITV’s attempt to emulate the ratings bonanza of Top Gear with the celebrity racing show Drive featuring Angus Deayton, Johnny Vegas, and Mariella Frostrup having stalled at 1.6 million viewers, down 400,000 from the initial 2 million viewing figures that it drew in.
Prior to the show’s shake up, Top Gear was typically watched by 6 million viewers, the Vernon Kay –fronted show drawing in less than half of the viewers to match that, and with two more episodes to go before it finishes, the pain of the programme is set to continue.
