Vic Mensa – All That Shines | New Music

Vic Mensa has released a second song in a week, to build anticipation for his Traffic album release which is to be released in the near future. “All That Shines” has a rather old school feel to it, when it comes to the beat, which has a distinctive muffled snare sound, combined with an eighties-like synth line. His flow seems to glide through the song with ease and he shows diversity when switching from rapping to singing with little effort. Give the song a listen below and see if it “shines” for you.

I am a 23 year-old musician from Luton, who graduated from De Montfort University with a 2:1 in BA Music Technology & Performance. I sing and write songs in my spare time and I am a massive music enthusiast. I listen to all kinds of different music from indie rock and folk to hip hop and deep house, but I am mainly influenced by hip hop and R&B. I have been interested in music all my life, it shaped my life from phase to phase and I cannot live without it. I try and see live music when I can and attended Reading Festival last year to see my favorite indie rock band Arctic Monkeys. My other interests include superhero and horror films, sports and binging on TV shows.
