Fresh from the release of his debut LP Summertime ’06, Vince Staples drops the video ffor one of the best tracks from the album. The visuals follow the straight faced rapper go from the back of a police car to the inside of a jail cell. The video perfectly portrays his character and overall emotion of Summertime ’06 as he calmly raps “I ain’t never ran from nothing but the police“, the simplicity in the video is brilliant, everything happening around him appears to be of chaos and excitement, whilst he himself remains composed as if this is nothing new. Keep an eye on Vince, he’s an artist to watch this year.
