Yesterday was one of MTV‘s most important events, where all the artist you want to see, meet, win, celebrate and perform. The location this year was the incredible Radio City Music Hall in New York and it was a night full of stars.

Definitely, the queen on stage was the beautiful and powerful Jennifer Lopez: during the award show, she performed her most famous and unforgettable hits, in a total Versace look and stunning choreographies, showing she’s still dominating the music scene, and no matter if she has just turned 50. She also took home the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and also the Best Collaboration award for “Dinero“.

A few days after the release of her new album Sweetener, the sweetest ever Ariana Grande attended the event with her fiancé Pete Davidson, supported in the audience by her mom and grandma. She won the Best Pop Award thanks to her “No Tears Left To Cry” single.

Another beautiful and young artist awarded yesterday is Cuban-born Camila Cabello, who has been officially awarded Best Artist and Best Video for “Havana“, and celebrated dancing with her mum and Maluma.

Quite interesting was the tribute by Madonna, back to the US after her holiday in Morocco for her 60th birthday, to the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin. Not the first choice by any means, and from the online backlash, this didn’t go down well for audiences.
