British musical Walking on Sunshine also known as Holiday starring X-Factor winner Leona Lewis will debut in cinemas on June 13, 2014. The film will focus on sisters Maddie and Taylor played by newcomers Annabel Scholey and Hannah Arterton (sister of Bond Girl, Gemma Arterton), who realize they have fallen for the same man, while in Italy for Maddie’s wedding.
Katy Brand and Greg Wise will also appear in the film alongside Leona Lewis, in what will be a debut acting role on the big screen for Lewis. The musical, which was directed by Max Giwa and Dania Pasquini and filmed on location in the UK and Italy, will feature popular 1980’s songs from the likes of Madonna, Cyndi Lauper and Wham, with the music composer behind Les Miserables working on the musical as well.
