Warner Bros. Debuts First Trailer For Chilean Miner Drama ‘The 33’ | Film Trailer
After 33 Chilean miners were trapped underground following the collapse of a large rock above them in 2010, they had to fight to survive. Warner Bros. have released the first trailer for the dramatic adaptation of these events, named The 33. Patricia Riggen is to direct, and Antonio Banderas stars, alongside Juliette Binoche, Mario Casas, Lou Diamond Phillips, Rodrigo Santoro, Gabriel Byrne and James Brolin.
The film will tell the story of the miners, who were trapped in 100-degree (Fahrenheit) heat, not knowing when rescue will come. The tragic event was covered globally, as officials and politicians tried to decipher the best way to get them out. The 33 has a November 13 release date in the US, however no date has been confirmed for the UK. You can watch the trailer below.
