Warner Bros. Express Frustration At ‘Suicide Squad’ Leak | Film News

Another year, another amazing Comic-Con. Fans all over the world were treated to awesome sneak peaks, all new trailer reveals and ‘exclusive’ footage, and thanks to the power of social media, a few leaks. However not everyone was best pleased. In the fallout of the Suicide Squad trailer being leaked online, it appears Warner Bros. were quick to release the HD trailer themselves, begrudgingly though it has to be said.

Warner Bros. also released a statement regarding the leaked trailer, saying, “Warner Bros. Pictures and our anti-piracy team have worked tirelessly over the last 48 hours to contain the Suicide Squad footage that was pirated from Hall H on Saturday. We have been unable to achieve that goal. Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed“. The issue surrounding the leaked trailer certainly opens up an interesting debate regarding the inescapable truth that perhaps in this day and age, it is impossible to keep anything ‘exclusive’.
