Joy is a much-anticipated film which reunites the brilliant Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro following their success in Silver Linings Playbook (2012). Joy is the third film directed by David O. Russell (Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle) in which Lawrence and Cooper play significant roles. The film is nominated for 2 Golden Globes and has received a further 3 nominations.
According to the synopsis: “Joy is the story of a family across four generations and the woman who rises to become founder and matriarch of a powerful family business dynasty“.
