Watch Michael Keaton Build His Legacy In First Trailer For McDonald’s ‘The Founder’ | Film Trailer

After unveiling the first poster a few weeks ago, The Weinstein Company has now dropped the first trailer for their McDonald’s biopic The Founder. The star-studded cast, led by Michael Keaton, includes Nick Offerman, John Carroll Lynch, Laura Dern and B.J.Novak.

The opener gives us a first look at the person who reinvented the food industry, Ray Kroc (Keaton). A late bloomer, the middle-aged salesman comes across the McDonald brothers who own the best burger restaurant in California, renowned for its speed and quality.

Impressed by their product service he offers to popularize it by franchising their business. Soon, he finds out that the deal he signed does not grant him the rights to achieve his vision. As he seeks help from a shrewd lawyer (Novak) to find a loophole in the contract, Kroc sets out to build his legacy, the McDonald’s empire. The key, he insists, is persistence.

The film promises another memorable performance by Keaton and boasts some interesting exchanges, which have prompted audiences to compare its style to the acclaimed Facebook biopic, The Social Network. The trailer, set to “Glitter and Gold” by Barns Courtney can be seen below.
