Watch Trailer For Kurt Cobain Documentary ‘Montage Of Heck’ | Music News

A trailer for Montage Of Heck, the first officially authorized documentary about the life of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain has been released online. The Brett Morgen directed film was recently premiered at Sundance Festival to positive critical acclaim, and was co-executive produced by Cobain’s daughter Francis Bean.

Made up from unseen home footage, interviews with family and friends, footage from Kurt’s taped interview with David Fricke (Rolling Stone), as well as animated scenes, the documentary covers his life from the early years as a shy child to the development into rebellious teenager turned Grunge superstar. The film release will be followed with a companion book containing animation, rare photos and more of Cobain’s personal archive, whilst Morgen promises that the soundtrack is set to feature a “mind-blowing 12 minute acoustic unheard track”. Watch the trailer below.
