‘Weird Al’ Yankovic Announces Autumn 2015 UK And Ireland Tour Dates | Music News

‘Weird Al’ Yankovic has announced that he will be coming to the UK and Ireland as part of his Mandatory Fun world tour. Yankovic is commonly known for his pop song parodies such as “Eat It” and “White and Nerdy”. In 2014, he released Mandatory Fun, the album which gave him his first US #1 album. It features spoofs of chart topping songs such as Lorde’s “Royals” and Pharrell’s “Happy”. Yankovic told NME about his spoofs, “I ask permission from every artist to parody their song. Legally I don’t have to but I want them to be in on the joke, not just turn on the radio one day and be like ‘What?’“. He will perform at the Eventim Apollo on October 4 and in Dublin on the 6th of October. All dates can be found here. Watch Weird Al’s “Word Crimes” below.
