Where Will Jimmy Kimmel Be Three Years From Now? | TV News

TV personality, Jimmy Kimmel, is best known for hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live!, a well-loved late night talk show that’s been around since 2003. But after investing 70 hours a week into the show for over a decade, no one can blame the man for considering retirement with his 2019 contract expiration approaching steadily but surely.

I know I will do the show for another three years,” Kimmel assured Variety. “But it’s possible that will be it. My wife’s pregnant. At a certain point, I’d like to have a little more free time. I have very little free time as it is”.

Kimmel hasn’t ruled out the possibility that show business is something he’ll continue if he retires from the show. “If there’s something that excites me creatively, it doesn’t necessarily mean something in show business. I like to draw. I like to make sculptures. I’d like to write a book at some point. Doing the show every day doesn’t leave a lot of time for that”.

But despite the restrictions and demanding nature of the show, Kimmel is reluctant to offer a more concrete stance on his possible leave. “I will miss it when I go,” he admitted.

In other news, Kimmel, along with the rest of the Hollywood industry, is gearing up for the 89th Academy Awards ceremony this coming Sunday, which Kimmel will be hosting.

Kimmel is no stranger to hosting major awards shows, with experiences of hosting the recent 2016 and the 2012 Emmy Awards, the 2007 ESPYS and the American Music Awards on ABC. But this will be the first time Kimmel will be hosting the Academy Awards. Good luck, Jimmy!
