Turns out it wasn’t just fans of The Voice that were disappointed with the way singing legend Tom Jones left the show, for fellow judge Will.i.am has also admitted he disliked the way his departure was handled. This criticism evolves from how Jones was informed he would not be returning to his chair just a day before the new judging panel was announced; which caused several viewers hit back at the BBC, insisting they would never watch the show again without him.

Speaking in an interview with DigitalSpy, Will.i.am admitted that he is also unhappy with how the situation was handled: “there’s a lot of changes that have happened. The way it was done, I didn’t like“. However, he refused to elaborate any further, explaining that he doesn’t want to compromise his own or anyone else’s privacy on the matter: “This is a family so for you to come into my house and to say, ‘Hey, show me where your dirty laundry’s at’, I can’t show people’s underwear. So this is a family, even being on the BBC it’s a family, so how things were handled we know wasn’t the best but I can’t tell you how I feel about it“.

With the new judging panel featuring newcomers Paloma Faith and Boy George alongside experts Will.i.am and Ricky Wilson, let’s just hope the BBC made the right decision…
