Ever since the Comic-Con trailer for Batman v Superman, critics and movie lovers everywhere have been meticulously deconstructing it inch by inch for more clues and plot points. The most intriguing however concerns the image of Robin’s costume covered in graffiti. This has led to multiple theories surrounding the character of Jason Todd and the ‘Death in the Family’ story arc. Now it seems director Zach Snyder is starting to pick up on the theories by teasing fans with a recent picture with the caption ‘Boy Wonder?’, whilst standing next to his son. Coincidence? We think not.
This could of course just be the Snyder’s having a bit of fun, however there are plenty more actors cast that could portray the boy wonder, for instance Michael Cassidy (Men at Work) and Callan Mulvey (300: Rise of an Empire), who as of yet do not have their characters names listed. If we remember back to Dark Knight Rises, they managed to keep Talia Al-Gul and Robin pretty quiet up to release.
Another fan theory that has managed to gain a lot of attention is that Jared Leto’s Joker in Suicide Squad is also Jason Todd, and he could feature in some kind of flashback during the events of Batman v Superman. What is for certain is that Robin will feature in some capacity, whether it be Jason Todd, Dick Grayson or Tim Drake and so far it has got many fans talking, which won’t do the excitement levels for the film any harm at all.
