Will Smith & Tom Holland Teaming Up For Animated Comedy ‘Spies In Disguise’ | Film News
Tom Holland‘s star is certainly on the rise after his successful first outing as Spiderman. He’s now set to team up with Will Smith for a new animated espionage comedy titled Spies In Disguise at Fox Animation.
It will be based on Lucas Martell‘s animated short film, Pigeon: Impossible, which follows a secret agent who almost triggers a global conflict when a pigeon gets stuck in a government-issued briefcase. Smith will play Lance Stirling, a spy at the top of his game, while Holland will voice Walter, a socially awkward genius who designs Lance’s gadgets.
The odd couple must work together when things take an unexpected turn in order to save the world. Fox have recruited animators and first-time filmmakers Nick Bruno (The Peanuts Movie) and Troy Quane (Ferdinand) to helm the project.
The first images of Lance and Walter are below, and Spies In Disguise currently has a release date of January 18, 2019.
