Woody Harrelson To Star In Daniel Clowes’ ‘Wilson’ Comic Book Adaptation | Film News
Shooting begins next month for the latest Daniel Clowes’ comic book adaptation, Wilson, which is set to star Woody Harrelson and Laura Dern in the lead roles. Clowes has put the script together himself and Evil Dead director Sam Raimi is reportedly one of the film’s producers. Title character, Wilson, played by Harrelson, is a socially awkward, pet-loving loner and following the death of his father, finds his addict ex-wife, only to discover that he has a teenage daughter. Clowes work has previously been adapted for the screen. In 2001, Ghost World was released featuring a fresh-face Scarlett Johansson and Thora Birch. The film was elevated to cult status after receiving critical acclaim, including an Academy Award nomination, so we should be expecting great things.
