‘X Factor’ Boyband Stereo Kicks Announce Break Up | Music News
X Factor superstars Stereo Kicks have announced their decision to call it quits. The eight piece were brought together by Louie Walsh in last year’s series of the TV show following their individual auditions as solo artists. The group were able to survive until the series quarter final, outlasting any other groups within the same year.
Since leaving the competition, the group released one single “Love Me So”, which hit number 31 on the UK single chart. In a statement issued to fans, the group explained: “We have learnt first-hand just how tough the industry is as an unsigned act. Unfortunately, due to these circumstances, we are no longer able to carry on as a band“. The group’s final performance is due to take place on July 25 at Thorpe Park.
