Yo Gotti teams up with noted video director, Eif Rivera, for the Memphis, Tennessee rapper’s newest effort, “The Art Of Hustle”. This is the title track from his latest album, which itself is only a few days old. Like any gangster rapper worth his salt, he namechecks Alonzo Harris (Denzel Washington’s character in Training Day), Scarface (Al Pacino) and The Godfather (Marlon Brando).
The song seems a departure from his usual hardcore and brutal material, and this is a welcome departure because this track actually has heart. It mixes triumphant horns with lyrics and backdrop signifying a struggle of the soul. There is a cinematic quality to the video, and shows Gotti as an up and coming gangster and hustler defying all odds to reach the top of his game.
