NBC announced last year that it is reviving the cult sci-fi drama Heroes for a 13 episode standalone mini-series called Heroes Reborn, set to premiere this summer. However Quinto has announced he will not be returning for the new series, confirming his decision in an interview with Buzzfeed saying, “I’m not going back. Tim reached out to me when they decided they were going to do it. We had a great conversation. It was such a meaningful experience for me. I just felt like I didn’t want to go back to it. Tim was very, very understanding“.
